Effects: Felt uplifted and relaxed on every occasion. Found it great for conversations and social settings. Versatile, balanced smoke that makes it a great option throughout the day or night.

Overall: I was admittedly late to the party on Black Maple, but better late than never. There’s no shortage of hype for this Colorado-bred gem, as it’s captured multiple awards since 2023. This batch came from the medical grow of Reefer Madness, and provided a great bang for the buck. It delivered on the expected flavor profile, and captured the desired effects I’ve seen associated with the strain, such as the upbeat, yet relaxed, not sedative nature of the high. 

I do believe there’s another level this strain can reach, and am seeking to try a version from a self-described “premium” brand. If you’re looking for something that’s very solid from a quality perspective, yet easy on the pockets, this Reefer Madness cut of Black Maple strikes a great balance. For those reasons, I’d place it in the economy rotation.
