Pirate Juice By Somatic

Pirate Juice strain grown by Somatic shows close-up of a cannabis bud with green and orange hues. The texture is dense and covered in fine hairs.

Strain: Pirate Juice

How it’s marketed: Hybrid

Genetics: Devil Driver x Root Beer

Aroma (in jar and ground up): Sweet fruity essence, almost like candy. Upon grinding there’s a floral element added to the sweetness.

Taste: First thoughts, it totally reminded me of a strawberry daiquiri mixed drink.  Sweet, fruity and a bit herbal.

How it Smokes (smooth, harsh etc.): Smooth

Medical or Recreational: Medical

THC percentage: 26

Effects: In my experience, it’s a touch on the heavier side with moderate sedation, but not overwhelming. Maintained clarity of thought and focus. Worked well for early evenings.

Overall:  Somatic hit my radar in the beginning of 2025, offering a unique selection of strains at a highly favorable price point. The price point was favorable enough that I questioned if the quality would be acceptable for my liking. Based on my first experience, I have a feeling I may have found introductory pricing, as this batch of Pirate Juice was exceptional.

The flavor was top notch and something I found myself craving repeatedly, leading to a quickly consumed ounce. The effects fit into a variety of situations and times throughout the day, making it a versatile option. I’ve gone back to Standing Akimbo where I first found it to get another batch, but it’s been sold out on the last 2 drops, so the word is out on this one. It’ll certainly be in the rotation when I can get my hands on it. I wish Somatic had a distinct digital presence, because I couldn’t locate a website or social media account to gain more insight on their plans and practices, but other than that, no complaints.
